spoke to an F16 pilot at an Thunderbirds air show a few weeks ago and asked the "F15 vs F16" question. He said it boils down to which scenario you want. He said in all likelihood the F15 would win in real life because it will have the ability to get first look, first shot, first kill due to its superior radar and tech; He also said if it becomes an in-close actual dogfight, the F16 would have the slight turning advantage.

F-15s are HUGE. F-16s are incredibly maneuverable.

Two different jets, two different uses. The F-15 could kill the F-16 from miles away, but should they get in a dogfight, the F-16 would be all over the F-15

F16 handles more Gs and more maneuverable hence more capable in terms of close engagement

Just so people know, they designed the F16 specifically for dog fighting. In a dog fight probably only the latest aircraft would give an f16 a hard time. F16 can out maneuver all the other fighters.. Human limit is the only limiting factor for an f16.. the plane can do more than what's physically allowed..

Nice video except that at 3:18 the pilot makes a rapid stick input, but his standby instruments don't move nor are the MFDs powered up?

I recall both the F-15 and F-16 using the
Pratt & Whitney F100 turbofan, only difference
would be the F-15 has two opposed to the
F-16 which has one.the F-16 has had improved
radar and avionics over time, but in the
present day F-15 bigger, faster, and more
long ranged.originally designed for air superiority
, and still quite capable.advantage F-15, but sure
would be fun to watch seeing I'm a F-16 fan
much of my life.

The F16 was the first aircraft built dynamically unstable with fly by wire to aid manoeuvrability. In a dog fight, there is only one winner ... but it'd have to get close to an F15 first.

F15 and the SU27 are the perfect embodiment of what a fighter jet should look like if ya ask me.. The F16 is right up there too.. I can get on board with the F22 but the F35 really urks me... lol
