How to Create a Date or Calendar Table and Dimension in Power BI using Power Query

Date dimension or calendar table is one of the most important dimensions in any BI system. In this video, I'm showing you how easy is to create a date dimension using Power Query.

Say I have a fact table already loaded. If I want my calendar to cover the date range in my fact table, can I do that in PowerQuery, or do I need to use CALENDAR( MINX('FactTable', [DateColumn]), MAXX('FactTable', [DateColumn])) ? I basically want the calendar to always "autoexpand" to cover the dates in my fact table.

duration is a specific type, you should define it with a hashtag.
