In the '70s she was the queen of rock. The 1st woman to have five albums in a row to go Platinum. She was also the first woman to do arena rock. I could go on. She is the best female singer ever.

Many of her albums have been certified gold, platinum or multiplatinum in the United States and internationally. She has also earned nominations for a Tony Award and a Golden Globe award. I've been in love with Linda since the 70s. Willie Nelson nailed it when he said: "There are 2 kinds of men in the world: those who have a crush on Linda Ronstadt and those who never heard of her."

Willie Nelson said it best about Linda: There are two types of men in the world, those who love Linda and those who have never heard of her.

Linda Ronstadt takes the cake with the most (thirteen total) Hot 100 hits (almost all in the Top 40) that were all cover tunes: “Blue Bayou”, “Heat Wave”, “Hurt So Bad”, “I Can’t Let Go”, “It's So Easy”, “Just One Look”, “Ooh Baby Baby”, “Poor Poor Pitiful Me”, “That'll Be The Day”, “Tracks Of My Tears”, “Tumbling Dice”, “When Will I Be Loved” and “You're No Good”.

Linda Ronstadt wasn't a songwriter, but rather a song interpreter/ song stylist. She was known as the queen on cover songs throughout her career. Starting out as a country western singer, she gracefully melded the genre of country and pop. Every genre she tackled brought her huge success; pop, ballads, rock, new wave, Broadway musicals, big band (American songbook), and Mariachi. She's a true American legendary singer/ performer. ❤

Not only did she have an amazing voice, but she was responsible for helping the Eagles get their first recording contract. Glenn Frey and Don Henley were part of her band, and she vouched for them when they told her they wanted to start their own band.

It’s a Roy Orbison song. She’s one of the most versatile singers ever.

Linda Ronstadt is one of the best female singers & can sing any genre from ballads to country to rock & even opera. She has had so many hits such as "Different Drum", "Long Long Time", "You're No Good", "Poor Poor Pitiful Me", "Tracks Of My Tears", "When Will I Be Loved" etc. Ronstadt also did two great duets, "Somewhere Out There" (with James Ingram) & "Don't Know Much" (with Aaron Neville). The Eagles were her backing band till they went out on their own & she has covered a lot of their songs. Linda also collaborated with Dolly Parton & Emmylou Harris on a few "Trio" albums.

Tracks of my tears, poor, poor, pitiful me, it doesn’t matter anymore, cry me a river, dark end of the street, I can’t help it if I’m still in love with you, it goes on and on and on

Bayou is a slow moving creek in marshy areas. They're slow-moving open water areas versus stagnant swamps and are found on the Gulf coast from Louisiana to Florida, but better known in Louisiana.

Linda was my first album cover crush, then hearing her voice just made me fall in love with her even more. She is one of the most versatile singers by the way she could sing country, rock, blues, and even opera. But now due to Parkinson's Disease, her singing voice has been silenced. One of her must see and hear is her performance of "You're No Good".

There’s no sweeter voice on the planet! She has the perfect blend of authenticity, warmth and power than combines to create a heavenly sound like no other. In my opinion she was the most talented female vocalist ever recorded. I’m 70 now and I have been loving her voice for more than 50 years. Roy Orbison wrote and recorded this in the early 60’s. Linda made it into a smash hit in 1977 and it became her signature song. This was a great choice! Her catalogue is huge and very diverse. I would recommend choosing live performances whenever possible because her concerts were legendary. The mark of true talent is being able to reproduce on stage what is done in the studio and Linda does it with ease. Thanks for a great reaction. More please. 💐🌸✌️
