Linda Ronstadt inadvertently had a massive impact on music history. In 1971, she found herself in need of two people for her back-up band. So, she temporarily hired Don Henley and Glenn Frey. While they already knew each other, it was while playing for Ronstadt that they discovered how well they worked together. And thus, the Eagles were born.

Emmylou Harris said that when Linda lost her voice, we all lost her voice.

BTW, a "dojo" is martial arts studio. What were meaning to say was "dobro" which is a type of guitar usually played with a slide guitar style. But in this song it's a pedal steel guitar.

There has never been an artist with so much success across so many genres as Linda R.. from rock, country, Broadway, American standards, R&B to (to this day) the top selling non English album in US history with her multi platform Spanish language album giving salute to her Latina heritage

Linda was my first album cover crush, then hearing her voice just made me fall in love with her even more. With all due respect to Roy (thanks for writing it), Linda has made this song all hers. One of my fondest memories is when my sister was a toddler, she stood on my grandfather's shoes and danced with him to this song.

She has such control over her belty voice. Powerful and beautiful vocal.

Linda has said she has never gone back and listened to her work because all she heard was things she should have done better. I don’t think we could handle them if they were any better. ❤❤❤

Linda Ronstadt was one of the best singers of all time. It was so sad to hear she lost her voice, but, I am glad we can still enjoy the many recordings she made.

That last note showed a hint of her mezzo-soprano chopps. This woman is brilliant 👏 😊

Such a fantastic instrument she had - fragile yet strong, glassy and then pillowy in the next breath.

My favorite female singer ever. She could literally sing any genre of music. She basically ruled the 70s.
