Good show. There's a lot to be optimistic about here. I agree that the APs (at least a couple) will be available upon opening. I imagine a few more flavors will be unveiled shortly thereafter. They need to see what works and what doesn't work. Remember how the FlexPass just showed up overnight and it seemed to hit a target market. But you did hit on something. Some people will not like this new version of Disneyland with plexiglass and restricted experiences. The trick for TDA is to ensure that the guests feel welcomed and want to experience it (and return). I know it's going to be a process, but it's something I'm excited about seeing.

Well done Mark. You are on point with the thought of firing up the AP program ASAP with the opening of the park. If DL opens in the summer any of those Local Low Tier memberships will be blocked out, but Disney will probably but on a limit on the total Local Low Tier memberships and this will create a FOMO demand to buy the memberships even though the pass will not be abled to used until Sept.

That's okay I'll go to Walt Disney World today at Magic Kingdom because Disneyland basically fits and Walt Disney World parking lot

I didn’t get a AP survey but I hope people that did are being honest on them because I know a lot of people that wouldn’t be okay with paying $999-1400 a year also have to pay for parking and have so many reservation restrictions.

You're absolutely right I just did some quick math and with my flex pass, attending once a week and paying for parking/food/alcohol I would spend $100 per visit per week which means about $5-6000 a year at disney atleast. If I have to buy a day ticket I would probably go.once a month and be spending around 3 grand a year. Definitely money lost if only offering day tickets for Disney 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m an AP ‘Legacy’ with no kids, disposable income, and would visit the parks 1-3 times a week (from San Diego) I know ideally I’m not Disney’s target guest (mom of 2-3 kids) but I’m a constant presence. I totally agree with your July estimate for opening. I plan on purchasing whatever pass plan allows me the ability to go to the parks whenever I want. I’m excited about what’s ahead!

I'm in Vegas but I love my annual pass, it made it possible for me to go whenever I wanted. I can't wait for the new release so I can get it again.

Free parking and go anytime I want ( like my old signature plus) is all I want. I don't care about all those other perks and discounts.

Advance reservations for the limited-capacity reopening of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will be available to visitors with previously purchased tickets on Monday, April 12. Tickets go on sale to the general public on April 15. Disneyland announced no priority access for passholders to buy tickets and make reservations or any AP preview days as the park has done with other special events and grand openings.

Did you ever think it would be as screwed up as it is today - reservations and block out dates for Inspire Keys? We still love the experience . . . when we can get it. MTC

Great breakdown. Your explanation was on point and smart. I appreciate both. Also your voice is soothing and you aren’t shouting sounding entitled or hyper. Resident that recently got back into Disney vibe, missed out on the park by days before it closed. Sad that we won’t enjoy as Legacy but ready to sign up!! Can’t wait to reopen!

Also, I personally do not see the reservation system lasting 20 years. Maybe a few more years, as we put the pandemic behind us. Because let's say, on a Friday, there a good amount of space left for 8, 000 more people and not a lot of them made reservations. If they are not up to that mark, I could see them doing something like a "STANDBY TO ENTER" similar to how airlines do the day of the flight. In Disney terms, it would be a day of the visit. Again, this is in the post-pandemic period when/if reservations would still be required. I just personally don't see Disney giving up that $20 for parking even if just 500 more people came. Yes, I agree that for now, however, reservations will be required.

It’ll be great. A lot of respect for the resort that respects their loyal guests. As I much as I respected the people I came across when I was there. I always mentioned this to my leads and higher ups to respect the old and new guest coming through the gates. Also, I’ve been having discussions with my former colleagues about the new program. There’s talks about a “loyalty” program with a point system as a thank you for staying around. This is speculation though. Also, the guys at the resort, I believe, wanting to get ready and be open for everyone. I still want to be there ASAP to welcome you back buddy.

I don't think we "win the race" but we do represent solid cash flow. To suggest that I, as what ever kind of customer, am more important than another would be arrogant.
