How many coffee mugs do you own?

Coffee mugs are one area I won’t be minimizing. I don’t drink coffee but I love to use them instead of regular cups for basically any other drink. We collect them from all the places we’ve lived (military family) and traveled to. When we finally settle into a forever home, I already have plans to display them all on a wall for guests to choose their favorite to use during family gatherings, Bible studies, etc. As Marie Kondo would say, they bring us joy. The mugs stay. ❤

Mugs are the one thing I have to stop myself getting. I just moved out and it’s dawned on me just how many I have for one person….but I love them all. Some are cool ones I found. Others are gifts from various people. They match my mood or they can boost me. I may let go of some in the future. But for now I love how they’re all mine and my taste and I can drink a lot of tea before I have to wash any up 😂😂

Love his note of if you collect them, HE’S not mad at you…. Love…. I drink out of those mugs and eat out of those mugs more than I do my bowls and plates!

I love them and that is probably the one thing I wont minimize because they truly bring me joy 😂

I had 18, downsized to 3 a couple weeks ago. Just having the extra room in the drawer meant other drawers were able to be used easier, when a couple items were moved around.

Hahaha, that's my wife, I made her a special coffee cup cabinet for her wonderful collection. She collects them in her travels.

If you only have 2 coffee cups for two coffee drinkers, how do you entertain?

We use coffee mugs for more than coffee….hot chocolate, cider, soups, chili etc. I also use them as measuring cups on occasion. I have gotten better in that I’m down from two cabinets full to 2/3 of one cabinet and around the holidays, they are all in use!😊

I'm closer to the second one!! I've given away a ton to good will and the ones left are sentimental. But believe me I use the same one every day!!

3 mugs per coffee drinker in my home. I had a coffee rack made to fit my cabinet that holds 9 coffee cups.

Well I know a few families who use coffee mugs when kids drink apple cider and hot chocolate . I also know families who keep extra coffee mugs for visitors especially if they host on a regular basis

Different coffee mugs help with different moods and feel good feelings. Also, for visitors. Its OK not to be "minimalist" on that, although 20 would be too much!

I love this take. No one is mad ar you if you collect something, enjoy and embrace it! But peoplw, just think more before you buy and be intentional. And as a gamer, thats very hard at times 😂😂

After reading the comments I’m questioning myself. Do people have different mugs for different drinks ie tea and hot chocolate?! I use the same mugs for all hot drinks 🤷‍♀️

I use my thermal travel mugs for coffee these days, i start work at 5am so the travel coffee mugs keep it hot while im getting ready for work. All my ceramic coffee mugs are for guests
