Extra AF LONG vs SHORT In-Flight Skincare Routine

♥ OK so I couldnt help myself, I filmed yet another in-flight skincare routine! It sounds so weird but i loooooove taking care of my skin and doing a routine while in a flight! It makes me so happy and I always land with my skin glowing!

I know this routine is extraaaaaa as can be (esp the long flight), but its what I do. I totally understand if you dont think you would do any of it. I am hoping to share what I do and maybe some of you can pick and choose some elements to add to your next flight.

Skin care during the flight time is never advised, please check your information with the dermatologist. You should always do your skincare before the fight, and the reasons are 1- let's not forget those germs, even if you use every sanitary procedure. 2- Recycled air. 3- you are exposing your skin for more dehydration. I would highly suggest let's not do trends but more informational videos which are well researched. Thank you.

I understand the comments about not doing it during the flight but my skin gets so dry on any flight so I think I need to do something to help it, im going on a trip in April which is 7 hours long and my face is as dry as the desert after, lip balm and moisturiser are a must but I need something more, very helpful video, your skin looks amazing 😍❤️

Nope nope nope . Do the skin care before boarding . Mixed makeup did a great video on why . Dermatologist approved .

Thank you so much Arshia for this video & I read a few comments down below where people said that skin care isn’t advisable during flight & to check the information with the dermatologist. Someone even said that these Youtubers only use these products once for the video & never again just to promote a certain brand. Well, 1st of all, If you’ll watch Arshia’s previous/older videos, you’ll see that she has used the peel pads & Laneige sleeping mask many a times. Whenever any product is sponsored, it is the 1st thing she mentions right at the start of the video & also in the description box. I personally have bought many of her recommended products, & let me tell you, I am based in India & since most of the products aren’t available here so I especially have them shipped from US so that says a lot about the credibility of her videos. As far as checking with dermatologist is concerned, I have the information checked from not one but two dermatologists, & not now after watching the video but last year in June by Dr. Jamuna Pai (Mumbai) & Dr. Mallika Sachdev (Chandigarh) and i was advised exactly the same: cleansing wipes as the water in planes is not safe or to use bottled water or a mineral rich mist/spray, applying a moisture rich cream or a facial oil if my skin gets super dry, A lip balm & to massage my skin with a jade roller or any massaging tool after the sheet mask as we get less blood flow in higher altitudes!
Sorry for such a long comment but it just felt right to clarify as this information that you have shared in the video has been verified & is recommended by well known dermatologists.

You missed out one of the most important step, which is sun protection inflight. You are more closer to UVA rays during day time flights especially and windows does not block out those sun rays. There are tons of videos educating about sun protection indoor which applies to inflight as well.

Air plane skincare can be risky. The air inside the plane is extremely drying for our skin and there are germs all over the plane (seats, floors, table, windows, bathrooms and doors on planes are disgusting and the residue and germs are unseen). Even washing your hands prior to doing your routine can cause a reaction as the tab water on planes is also terrible. Please be very cautious with these routines. I’ve had dermatologist and esthetician’s advise against this
