How to Refill Copic Markers

For those of you who are wondering exactly how much refill to use without overfilling, I have always weighed my markers. As long as you know what the weight is of a new one, you know not to exceed that weight. New weight of Copic sketch varies from 14-14.4 grams. Completely empty sketch is about 11.3 grams.I'll grab my scale and go thru all my markers and throw each one on to see where it's at. Dry out usually occurs around 12-12.5 grams. Then I can spend a half hour and refill all markers at once and be done for awhile. I will go to around 14 grams when refilling and sometimes that gets them almost a bit too full, so maybe a little less would be fine. It's fairly accurate. Just make sure that both end caps are on scale too since 14 g is total marker weight. After doing a few times, you'll get a good feel for how much to do. I'll only have to check weight a couple times and sometimes will get it right on.Does anyone else do this way? I've been watching other videos but have never heard of anyone doing this way..I also will check my new purchases out this way. If I get a really light one, I'll take it back & exchange it.

i just found out what the holes in the caps are for, apparently i heard from a friend that the holes are there so in case you swallow the cap and choke on it, you can still breathe.

Attention all small people nuggets: don't try to fill your marker through the brush tip. You'll make a mess. trust me. totaly didn't try that.

I know, I feel the same. Sometimes I still think I'm too mellow. I'm the kind of person who seems quiet and shy at first, but once I get to know you, I'm kind of a hyper psycho weirdo. I want some of that to come through in my videos, but not to the point where I seem annoying, haha.

The booklet is sold by some Copic retailers. You can also print out a flat chart which is nice for seeing all colours at once. That one you can find on google images.

Export a small part of the video to test it out. Mine doesn't lag unless I have a video fast-forwarding. Well, it doesn't lag, but it plays at a very low frame rate, but it's fine when exported.

Well. Maybe I'll have to make a video on it! Pretty much air blows past the nib of the marker which sprays a fine mist of ink onto the page.

My microphone records really quiet sound too. What I do is right click the video in my timeline (in Premiere Pro) and click "audio gain." Then I set the audio it anywhere between 10 and 20. As for music copyright, I stick to royalty-free music that is allowed to be used for commercially (not all royalty-free music is allowed to be used commercially.) But beware some sites like the popular Incompetech have copyrighted songs that you don't realize are copyrighted until you get a notice from YT
