NATO is conducting live-fire tank drills and air patrols over the Baltic Sea. Meanwhile, the United States has opened a missile base in Poland close to Russia’s Kaliningrad Oblast. However, US President-Elect Donald Trump has promised that he will end the war on his first day in office. Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to hold talks with Trump regarding a truce in Ukraine.
