Cool, thanks, glad I could be of some help. :) I struggled with the decision between 921 and 941 originally when I was buying my first canner, but now I am blessed enough to have both at 921 and a 941 :)

Thanks again for watching!

Great video, very informative and helpful for me as I'm trying to decide which model to buy.

thanks - I do smaller batches - just can't take the wear and tear - but I love my 921

Mark, I have pressure canned stuff I was pickling, just because I was pressure canning other stuff and had room. It doesn't hurt, but does 'cook' the contents more. So, if you are not worried about overcooking, then it is okay.

I am waiting on the delivery of my 941. It did state that they are not recommended for flat top stove. My stove is very new and I am hoping that it is more stable than older models, but am prepared to use my propane deep fryer as a back up, as you do.

Yeah, I don't know too much about the presto's, I have a friend that I occasionally can with that likes hers. But, like I have said in a couple of my videos though, I think the quality and the machining of these All American Canners, made here in the USA is amazing.

I will comment on my experience on my electric stove.  These canners are heavy quality and then you add the food.  I ended up breaking an electric element on my range.  I went to the big orange box store and bought some 1/2" square steel bars and cut 2 out of it aprox 11" long each.  I replaced my element, placed the square bars on the outside edge of my electric heating coil and the canner rests on the square stock and the element heats fine now with no worries of breaking again.  :)

Thank you for the information on these canners. Its just my husband & I ... I think I really want the 921 it will work nice for us. :)

I think I'll go with the smaller model as we don't have huge quantities to can, and I have a glass stove top which has a 50 lb capacity. I'm also looking at All-American 15-1/2-Quart Pressure Cooker/Canner, which only weighs about 18 lb and fits 10 pint jars. Thanks for your effort to reply to my comment in such detail! Have a good season!

Yeah, I have a feeling with as much as I use my stovetop (as I imagine you do too), I have cut my over the range microwave's life in half.
.
We use our 921 more than the 941 because of needing to use the 941 on a propane burner, but it is nice to have the added capacity. Before the 941, some of my big canning runs would start at noon, and go till 2am.
.
Anyway, good to hear! All American seems to make a very high quality product compared to the competitors.
Thanks!
Nate

Actually just kidding, the distance between my stove top cast iron grates and the the bottom of the over the range microwave is 19" and the exact height from the bottom of the pressure caner to the top of the handle is 16.75 inches.

Hope that helps, there are a-lot of specs out on their website...I just added the link to mfgr's site the description box.

If you plan on using them often, and heavily you cant beat the 941, it is going to cut the time you spend processing in half.

If you are young to do smaller batches, or big batches less often the 921 will save you some money.

They both will certainly pay for themselves if you do use them, especially if you are preserving harvested animals after hunting, or working out a deal with a butcher or farmer to get whole cows; or even if you get good meat on a discount.

Thanks for Commenting! --Nate

In the middle on the top row. I know wide-mouth jars have a slightly lower and wider profile, so less jars fit in the canner with them. Thanks!

We have the 910 and 921, plus two 23 quart Presto canners.

We'd love one of these or a 30 qt All American Pressure Canner, They're impossible to buy or find in the UK though  :(
