What about when you’re on a phone call and want to record the call on speaker phone with sound

I'd forgotten how to turn the microphone on, so I came searching for this and am glad I found it. But It's letting me record from the external microphone—which was all I'd needed previously. Now I need to record internal, but it's not recording any sound from the internal apps, whether I have the microphone on or not. There's no sound at all when I'm screen recording. When I stop the recording, the sound immediately comes through, . Therefore, I know I have the sound set correctly. If I run any app with sound, the sound doesn't come through. I tested a FaceTime call and could hear just fine, but when I went to listen to the recording, there wasn't any sound at all. I went to Privacy>Microphone like you said, and the apps that I'm trying to record audio from (FaceTime and Music) are not listed and there's no option to add them. I have the 1st Gen SE with iOS 15.4.1 and an iPad Air 2 with iOS 15.4.1 and they do the same thing. I went to Apple Support and the iPhone User Guide doesn't even mention turning on the microphone. It just tells you how to start the screen recording. You won't even know the sound wasn't recorded until after you finish and play the video back. By then, it's too late for a take-two in a FaceTime call if you need the audio.

Thanks for this nicely brief and to the point video. I've just got a (new to me) iPad Air running iOS 12.5.1 and I want to record just the sound and vision of Auxy. This only seems to work with the microphone on, but that includes my breathing (not cool!) Any suggestions?
