I first heard about Parsec a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm playing WWF No Mercy on an N64 emulator online with 3 friends and one of them is using nothing more than a phone a Bluetooth controller. I honestly can't get over how well it works. I would say it's running smoother than Nintendo's own online offering which you have to pay for!

I just tried it on a 2014 macbook pro with 16gb ram. Impressive concept but let's not forget that streaming also takes lots of computational resources.

What I mean is that although my controller felt like it was directly connected to the desktop pc (there were no noticable input lag on the pc monitor), my poor macbook was doing everything it could but still couldn't even stream in 720p linux mint. It's 2.4Ghz cpu we're talking about.

Just keep in mind that you can't just stream to a potato. You need to have at least a decent cpu.

If you use this, how do you know if someone is accessing the computer locally, while your connected to it? Can you lock the control when your connected so a local person cant take controll?
Lets say its at an office etc.

When I use this software to connect to my personal PC on the tablet, I inserted a 2.4g receiver keyboard into the tablet. However, when I use the keyboard, it will prioritize the tablet's shortcut keys over using them on Windows. What should I do?

The only issue I'm running into with parsec is the mouse pad functions are not enabled remotely: two finger scrolling, tap to close windows. I didn't realize how often I used those until I logged in remote---let me know if there is a way to gain access to these functions.
