Partial Video Transcript:

"Today's topic is going to be on melanoma skin cancer. Now melanoma skin cancers are bad cancers, you do not want one. And so it, this is a big topic, but the most important thing about this topic is to please have a conversation with your local dermatologist, to determine what the right treatment is for you, and what your diagnosis means for not only your short-term medical care, but also the considerations that have to be put into place for you and your family for long-term care.

Now melanomas are basically broken down into two different categories. And the first category is when they are on the surface of the skin. So when they're just on the surface of the skin we call them different things like melanoma in situ or lentigo maligna, or one of these terms, and these are the best types of melanomas to get, because they have not acquired depth. It does not look like they are invading down into the skin or into the body. And when they are not invading into the body or they're not getting depth then the chances of these spreading internally to different organs or metastasizing, and wreaking havoc in your life is less than 5%..."

My symptoms are ignored by my PCP. Been telling him for over 6 months there is something serious is wrong with me. He blows me off. I found a new PCP that I'll see this Thursday for the first time. I've been looking up symptoms and staging. According to what I have found I'm up shit creek without a paddle. Spitting out blood, and my voice is gone now. Tumors on my soft pallet and outside of my left cheek and now my lower lip. Food gets stuck, and very painful to swallow food. All I want to do is sleep. Spitting up blood. Very tired, . x- Ray show lungs are fine. Feel bad all over. I hope I make it the next week or do that way I can get to the needed treatment. The nerves in my arms and hands are doing this dr0psy thing. Can't trust then to drink some morning Joe. That just started a few days ago. Time to go get some R&R with no warning of what's next.

They told me I’ll have to get checked every 3 months for at least the first year possibly 2 years. It’ll probably be every year after that if I’m ok after my surgery.

My uncle died yesterday from melanoma after suffering from it for a year. It started on his back, then spread to his bones, then to his brain 😭
