Ever want to do a DNA extraction at home? Do you want to extract DNA from common foods around your house? How do you extract DNA from bananas? Or Strawberries? Or any other food? In this video, we'll go through the procedures for DNA extractions, using materials you can easily gather from your home.

MATERIALS:
10 ml DNA Extraction Buffer: 50ml dish detergent, 15g NaCl, 950ml water
10 ml ice cold 91% or 100% isopropyl alcohol
EITHER strawberries OR banana
1 Ziploc bag
1 beaker
1 paper towel
1 toothpick
