marvellous!
I wonder if there is any possible better way to teach philosophy.
excellent job, Dr. Piekhoff.
I found it pity, however, that the lessons stops with Kant and go no further.
No Hegel, no existentialism.
eagerly looking around to find Dr. Piekhoff's presentation on modern philosophers.

Is there any way to get the slides used in the YouTube version of these lectures (or, even better, a transcript)? Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong again
And check my premises,
Invalidate my argument,
Then prove to me what is–
Dispose of foolish falsities,
Emotional attachments,
Bring me objectivities,
Professional detachments–
Help me learn the discipline
Of honest observation,
Overcome the lazy sin
Of non-confront's damnation.

the vulgar philosophy;-). "I think that in no country in the civilized world is less attention paid to philosophy than in the United States. The Americans have no philosophical school of their own; and they care but little for all the schools into which Europe is divided, the very names of which are scarcely known to them. I remember 1972, it seems like the Lyceum compared to 2024. Just sayin.

I've been told to watch this by someone I respect. The opening barage appears so fill of straw men I'm going to have to suspend my outrage.
