This Cuban Sandwich Blew My Mind!

Показать описание
El Cubano…. aka The Cuban sandwich - Miami’s version of the cheesesteak! 🥖 💃🏻
This sandwich is brought to you in a partnership with @missouripork #ad
I started with the Cuban Roast Pork (Lechon asado) 🐖 that I made from scratch (recipe is in last weeks post)) and put this tasty treat together on my @lococookers griddle. The sandwich is made from simple ingredients and came together nicely. You know I like my sammiches like I like my humor…CHEESY! So, I added Swiss Cheese 🧀 to both sides of the bread. I know that’s not traditional but trust me, it was well worth it.
Here’s how to make it:
🥖 start with placing some Cuban roast pork on your hot griddle. Place a bacon press or burger press on the griddle to heat it up as well.
🥖 Cut your Cuban bread in half, coat the outside of the bread with a garlic and melted butter mixture.
🥖 slather the inside of each side with yellow mustard.
🥖 layer each side of the bread with Swiss cheese.
🥖 layer the bottom half with slices of ham and top it with your heated Cuban roast pork.
🥖 add a layer of thinly sliced dill pickles on top of the pork and close the sandwich. (You can also add a layer of salami, that is how it is traditionally done in the Tampa area.)
🥖 place the sandwich on the hot griddle and place the heated bacon press on top. Cook until the bread browns and turns crispy.
🥖 remove the sandwich from the griddle, cut it in half on an angle, (I believe this is a law) and get yourself a side of potato sticks.
If you have never had one, change that, it’s a must!
