Mountain Men is a comedy/drama that follows two estranged brothers, Toph and Cooper, as they journey to a remote family cabin in the mountains to evict a squatter. Buried resentment and bruised egos soon derail the plan and when the smoke clears they've destroyed their car and burned down the cabin, leaving them stranded in the cold Rocky Mountain winter. I screened this movie on Amazon recently, and found myself laughing all the way through. Tyler Labine, as Toph, and Chace Crawford, as Cooper, play a convincing pair of brothers who bond out in the wilderness. They do an excellent job of balancing comedy with touching family moments. Despite the beautiful snowy vistas, the film has a warm heart. Definitely came away satisfied. Would recommend to anyone who wants an uplifting watch!

Tyler Labine’s performance truly carried this film for me. I loved his goofy character, Toph, and the way that he interacted with the other characters of the film, especially Chace Crawford’s character. The brotherly love and rivalry was portrayed so well throughout the film. It had me laughing out loud, and biting my nails! This film was heartwarming and hilarious.

Tyler Labine is a big star in the making. Loved him in Reaper.

Just got done watching it. Good movie. Nice humor. It's all about family and relationships pretty much. 8/10

The dialogue in Mountain Men didn’t scream ‘scripted, ’ which allowed for a more relatable narrative for the audience. This communication balanced well with the unfortunate, and somewhat outlandish, scenarios that these two characters find themselves in. Chace Crawford and Tyler Labine play their roles so coolly and energetically, that it’s hard to not believe in their brotherly bond on screen. Mountain Men touches on their battle with the wilderness, but also with their respective emotional doubts within themselves. The ‘human flaw’ portrayals in this film are fresh and fun, and made me watch these characters will real feeling. The mix of serious undertones and humor is a natural, very real-world representation of people. Definitely something I appreciate about the film. I’m an only child, but Mountain Men really made me want a sibling to squabble with and love at the same time. These brothers have each other’s backs, even stranded on a freezing mountain.

I was lucky enough to see Mountain Men the weekend it premiered and I was not disappointed. This film is classified as a comedy/drama so I wasn't sure what to expect. I found it to be quite funny with and underlying dramatic tone. Mountain Men dealt with relatable family issues and the survival aspect of the film had me on the edge of my seat. Chace Crawford and Tyler Labine did an amazing job acting in this film and made me feel as though I knew their characters and could relate to their struggles. The cinematography was also breathtaking. The director, Cameron Labine, did an amazing job of capturing the essence of the wilderness and making the viewer seem as though they were in the mountains with the characters. Overall I enjoyed this film and recommend it to anyone seeking a film that deals with family struggles and survival adventures with a comedic spin.

This film was funny and touching, which is surprising, since it is about two brothers, Chace Crawford and Tyler Labine, who become stranded in the mountains and have to work together to get back to safety. The trailer doesn’t do it justice- the two made a great pair and definitely had me laughing as well as sympathizing with the tough relationship they had. I would recommend this to everyone.

This is a solid film. Very enjoyable emotional character piece with light humour.

Chace Crawford is muchhhh better in indie flicks than in Gossip Girl! I love his approach to this character, especially with how reserved he needs to act, but yet clearly wounded by something in his past. The guy who plays Toph, Tyler Labine, also portrayed a deeper character, one that’s dealing with a newly pregnant girlfriend that doesn’t take him seriously—probably because he’s a pot selling DJ! This movie surprisingly made me laugh, and think, especially considering it’s not my usual cup of tea. I’d recommend it to anyone, any age, simply because the extremes they go to so they can get through this camping trip are insane!

This trailer really doesn't do this movie justice. I probably wouldn't have watched this movie if I watched the trailer first.

Looks like the trailer gave all the good parts away. Not good enough for me. Skip.
