That was great, thanks Shaun and Claire... the application is exactly what I have been wanting and calling out for on every Drone channel. I even had a dream to build an app myself but since I struggle to do even basic DIY I decided to hope instead that the professionals would come to my rescue. Here it is ! ... I can't say if it has everything I need and I will try it out this weekend and post my thoughts here. But from what Claire demonstrated it is leaps ahead of NATS and DJI App. What might be a useful development would be a simple way to request permission from say a council or private landowner from within a mobile app (when the mobile app is released). A landowner could provide auto-authorisation by defining a geo-fence and permitted flying times such as days of the week, hours of the day and indicated no fly busy times where events might mean a high probability of over flight of crowds for example. A simple yes or no could be displayed based on the flyers GPS location and intended flight path or area. Another useful thing might be to have another layer integrating with flighradar24 to show small planes and helicopters in the area. Another idea is to allow private landowners to charge nominal fees to use the land for take off and these fees payable in the app. I am hope this new app helps. Does Clair have plans to expand to cover other countries ?
