How to Set your timer for Christmas lights

Thank you. I couldn’t understand the minimal instructions that came with my timer. Part of it was that I couldn’t see the pointer so thank you for darkening it so it could actually be seen.

Everybody is explaining about the pins, but nobody is explaining if the pins and the recent time has to be settled after is plugged into electricity or can be settled up and than to connect to the electricity???
The dilema is, what are the correct orders or steps to follow?
1. Set the desired time with the pins
2. Set the actual time with the arrow
3. Plug into EL.
4. Switch on the timer (on the side).

Why is the am marked black and pm is colored white because mine isn't working

Personally, these kinds of timers are unreliable/ disappointing.
It could be operator malfunction, but still, I prefer the kinds of timers sold at Chiristmas Time which are often black or dark green in color, with options to use remotes and/or set two on & off times, instead of just the all-night, off-at-dusk option, which is most common.

I also having issues the tab was broken at the ON/TIMER. This look simple but can be a problem.

Any reason that it would work for 2 days, then stop. I've had to reset twice already in 1 week
