the 1970 Holden Torana LC GTR XU1 as shown had a 186cubic inch motor the 1972 LJ GTR XU1 had the 202 cubic inch motor please when doing these type of of exposes check your information. you do show a mix of the 2 models of XU1. you Missed the 1969 HT Monaro which was the first with the 350 V8 all models after this had the motor de-turned so as the keep the top speed down. you also missed the A9X and SLR5000 Torana's these had the aussie made 308 V8 motor

This is definitely a worthy collection of cars, and in an as-good-as-new condition.

The Beaumont wasn't a Pontiac. It was a stand alone brand that was sold through Pontiac dealerships. Why can't anyone get that straight.

It wasn’t Yankie Muscle under the Hood of the Monaro………It was a good old Holden 308 V8.

The Monte Carlo in the Start was mkt a unique Canadian model....just built in Oshawa Ontario. Ditto with the GTO. Australia had unique cars for their market. Canadian only models were often badge engineering....

Now we built the MC, the GTO and that Fairlane in Canadian plants but they were sold mainly to the Americans

And definitely not the XU-1 interior,

Very interesting video. The only problem I can think of is that Canadian cars could only be used 5 to 6 months of the year. The winters back then were alot longer and colder than now, with substantially more snow! Hello from Toronto.

A V8 in a Torana XU-1? (Definitely not standard).

Other than the Beaunont, what made these American cars Canadian?

Mistake your showing the falcon Gt v8 when talking about the Torana XU1 6cylinder it was not even a blue engine it was red..

Hmm, you show me some aussie car Holden XU tell us it has a six cylinder and show obviously a V8 in the engine bay, then mention transmission and show an interior shot of a customised right hand drive 67 Mustang instead of the Holden XU interior ? , get better at it or go home.

What's so Canadian about a Chevy Monte Carlo? Maybe a 454 was standard in Canada but in the US it was a 350, the 454 was available in the Monte Carlo SS. 130 MPH? 4:00 it's not a Pontiac or a Chevy it's a Beaumont. At least you're finally showing a Canadian car.😊
