So unbearable pain 😭 it's not just charming sad chords. It's just his all saddens and agony. It's a masterpiece. Not over played.

Not so easy to play. Really proves the quality of the pianist - most notes needing to be very evenly and lightly struck, but with certain melodic lines needing to be lifted out. Beautifully played sir. And superb technique!

My favorite piece by Beethoven. I wish I had such talent.

I like Paul Barton version compared to other pianist. Most pianist take prior in technical skill(accuracy and speed) over expression (feeling). They seems like play too rush or too fast. Paul Barton has a good balance in both with accuracy and an expressive impression of his own style.

Very "metronome", but very sensitive as well, especially the left hand. And beautifully slow. Bravo and thank you, m. Barton

4:54: The stretch to play a 9 note span (C sharp to D natural in the right hand) is the hard part for smaller hands. He does it with ease.

Currently learning this in my retirement after a 25 year hiatus from the piano. It's been 10 weeks and I've only made it to bar 22 (with plenty of mistakes still to iron out). I will continue until I can play it without error. Hopefully it won't take 25 years.

Just love it. Really inspiring too, as I am working on this piece and getting stuck in certain passages. This inspires me to keep at it. Thank you!

Mr Barton, that was so well done and I have to thank you sincerely, as I want to relearn this from my youth. Your style is exactly how I want to play this, and maybe as effortlessly as you!

It was the first ever composition that i wanted to learn, and with which I went to my current teacher a loooong time back. Still haven’t mastered it (mostly because I’m a “””lazy””” bumbum 🙃 )

Beethoven. Saludos cordiales para todos.

Mr. Paul Barton, I have asked you about Norma’s reminiscences by Liszt (Bellini) in the video of your interpretation of the third movement of this same gorgeous Beethoven’s Sonata.
Attending to the possibility of that my request might be not pleased, and totally understandable in what I concern. Could I know, instead, your opinion about it?
Always grateful of your videos. My greetings.
