I really loved this interview content on this channel. It is great to get an inside look at design rationale and the features that Tektronix prioritized and why.

Thanks to Tektronix for letting you at these and talking about them.

Wow, what an interesting interview! What a great ambassador Andy Tedd is for Tek and very knowledgeable of the product also, kudos!
One feature hinted at but not shown is the fact that you can use a REAL mouse, not a vinegar mouse, with this scope. It shows up in Shahriar's review of the product. A super handy feature for those of us 'fat fingered' types, whose "use by" date disappeared over the horizon years ago! I wish you all could have heard all the groans and snorts from my Tek R7704 during the interview!

I have already seen examples of those on a standard 100x100 VESA mount, which is REALLY great!
Hopefully we will see more manufacturers going this route as well!

These are all great usecases for a scope of this class, really what I've been looking for for a while now, very excited to see more on this

The portability of this is brilliant. Plus VESA mount means you can easily DIY a rolling table setup with this mounted to a monitor arm. I can totally see this working out well in in-the wild testing setup.

Oh my gosh, I Love that Tektronix T shirt. I am willing to be the walking advertisement. 😂

I don’t understand any touch/display based product that doesn’t have a VESA mount these days, it just makes perfect sense.

I have never wanted a scope more than I want one of these! And this is from an HPAK fanboy

See if he can get/give you a tour, Dave. I'd love to see Andy show us some Tektronix R&D behind the scenes. :)

Great interview! I love how much effort Tek put into this new piece and ensuring it's designed by the end user. Keep it up and I can't wait to see how much better your products get....never stop making them better! And if you find something else that you like, make accessories.

Having a product designer that’s so much focused on customer feedback is awesome! Someone needs to show this video to Apple 😜

What an awesome scope. So excited to see it ten years from now on the second hand market, when I can finally afford it 🤣

We need Andy on again, we'll call the segment
Tedd 2 - Scope Buddies for Life
We need to get Andy a big bong so he can have a session with dave while discussing scopes, We can also test to see if the smoke affects the scope

Although we need to do that
1. While Sagan is not around because it wouldn't be setting a good example
2. Mrs EEV Blog CANNOT KNOW ANYTHING about it so everyone has to shut up
:P

I have a test that would make engineers redesign many things ...
It's called "The Egyptian Custom"

Looks like a Micsig.

Love my Tektronix lunchbox TDS3000 but will buy a Micsig when going portable.

It‘s also great for an electronic engineer who’s working often from home. Just take the scope with you … 👌
