This is only controlling the profile photo. All the other settings ONLY affect users that aren't signed in!
Anyone signed into linked in (connection or not) can see everything except the profile photo.

1- When you switch you Public Profile Visibility OFF why your direct connection still can see your profile, is this common?

i feel like linkedin could be more simplified in how it displays information for people who want to keep it private. personally i think being able to do a preview of your profile for each of the different types of people who can search you (1st degree connections, all linkedin members, public, etc.) would be helpful. like facebook let's you preview your profile i feel like while they do technically have a "preview" that you can access from settings, it's not really clear. at the top of the page it says that viewers who aren't signed into linkedin will see all or some of the information on your profile. ideally we would want that to mean that what i select to be private is private but it's hard to tell if linkedin won't actually let me preview it. i've tried other methods like a simple google search, but ..

Is it possible in the current Linkedin version right now(for both macbook pro and iphone that I have) to make it so that If I enter a new job on my Linkedin profile I can hide the new job I am starting from all my Linkedin connections and outside Linkedin profiles? So my connections and outside profiles won't get updates in their notifications.
I don't want my linkedin connections or outside connections to see that I started a new job and I only want the job to be visible to me and I would like to make my new job and old jobs invisible for others.
If you could list me through some steps to answer my questions I would extremely and deeply appreciate it so I can do this for both iphone and macbook. Awesome channel by the way and look forward to hearing from you!:) Keep up the good work as well:)!

If I make my Linkedin profile private, is it possible to send my Linkedin profile URL to anyone who requests it and have them be able to see my profile? Some jobs that I apply to asks for Linkedin profile links, and I was just wondering if I give them my link, would they be able to see it if it is set to private.
