Brendan Fraser movie, "Blast from the past." Main character's father drinks Dr. Pepper hot. It gets commented on in the movie. Also later, main character's mother is feeling unwell, and her husband comes in with a pan. "I made you some Dr. Pepper. Hot, just like you like it." Her: "No, that's how YOU like it." Him: *slightly baffled look* "It is?"

I actually enjoy room temperature or even slightly warm Dr Pepper. The flavors change with the temp, and warm has a more spiced taste. On the rare occasion I smoke a tobacco pipe, I like to drink a warm Dr Pepper because the spice flavors of the drink pair nicely with the tobacco flavors.

There's a highschool near where I grew up that sold hot Dr. Pepper with lemons at their concession stand during home games. It was definitely a hit there and I really liked it.

I actually grew up with hot Dr Pepper! I'm an elder millennial with late boomer parents who grew up with great aunties older than the state of Oklahoma in my house.
It was strictly a treat for after sledding

Where I grew up (the netherlands) the store-brand Dr Pepper was called Dr Foots and now I finally know where that name came from!

The only time my mom would drink Dr pepper when I was growing up, was heating it up in the microwave with a wee bit of Southern Comfort. It's a great drink.
