I'm guessing it's a mix of Walt being a fast eater, having to walk slowly and probably stop, and the dogs being smaller

Kenny's got the right idea. You gotta imagine Walt stopping every few feet to admire his kingdom.

Did we just witness the birth of a new Tik Tok challenge? The “eat a hotdog and throw away your trash challenge”

“A cracked team of hotdog boys with IBS to put this theory to the test” left me cackling 💀 4:48

I can’t believe Kenny raw dogged that hot dog with no condiments

I always heard that Walt’s reason for having trash cans so close together was that he wanted to make it so that no matter where you stand in the park you’d always be within eye-shot of a trash can.

I knew Walt wanted to keep his parks clean, but never did I think he came up with these trash cans with flaps until now! Like…. Wow! Nice small guest appearance from Paging Mr. Morrow too. ^^

Hey Dan love your video! As a fellow wdw custodian, the reason we have the cans labeled on the inside is because we are all assigned to different areas! Some custodians forget which cans are apart of a certain areas and so the labels are there to remind us 👍🏼

Even as a young kid remember being charmed by how the trash cans all looked different in every land. Just a level of care (or maybe OCD) I'd never seen anywhere else. But I think it's those small details that play a big role in people coming back.

This is terrifying. I do love a Disney parks trash can, but watching you eat those hot dogs so quickly was scary. Walt was something else. 😅

I think it's important to consider the size of a modern hotdog vs. The average 1950s hotdog. You could probably reduce the serving size by 30%

The fact that you actually tested this is amazing. Dan, your Disney content is always a unique perspective and a joy to watch👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Y’know after this video I think “Disney Myth-busting” should become a series lol

The other thing re: Walt Disney taking 30 feet to finish a hot dog is that, while walking and eating, Walt was also likely eyeing (and thinking about) what guests and workers around him were doing and exactly how everything looked, so he was probably walking even more slowly, and not at a steady pace, either.

“WALT YOU MONSTER” you guys had me laughing the whole way through. As a former busser in California’s Tomorrowland, I don’t recall those labels! But I am not the most observant person

The staff must either love or hate disney park people, no inbetweens
At least those hotdog vendors seemed to be having fun with your insanity

30 feet may be unscientific, but the fact is that everyone has a maximum amount of effort they'll expend before littering (only a few people will carry trash around all day), so decreasing the distance between trash cans is a good way to reduce littering.

0:23 you forgot to mention how people leave one random baby shoe on top of them

the group responding, "Trash can, " simultaneously was art.
