Meet the 'Voice of TikTok,' Radio DJ Kat Callaghan

The text-to-talk option on TikTok is a person, not a computer. Kat Callaghan is a Canadian radio DJ and voice-over artist. Her face may not be familiar, but her voice might be. Kat’s reveal video, where she shared her cool TikTok gig, instantly went viral with almost 46 million views. But Kat, who is also a married mother of 2, almost didn’t tell people who she was. I am actually one of those people who hates the voice, but it has nothing to do with her. It has everything to do with the fact that whoever is using it really thinks they’re doin’ something, and most of the time it’s not funny or cool. She seems really nice and I really enjoy her voice when she’s just speaking naturally! 😂

I live here in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and love listening to 91.5 the beat. She is the DJ for the radio station and she is very well known in our community. I have met her and she has visited my high school and many other schools a few years back and has done live radio broadcasts. She is a great person and I’m happy for her. I knew I recognized that voice!
