The Earthshaper Drum
When played, the Earthshaper Drum creates a sound that resounds deep within the listener, as though the very earth beneath their feet were vibrating in response. The obsidian core would give the drum a powerful, resonant bass, with each strike sending deep, rumbling tones that can be felt as much as heard. The gemstone inlays add a harmonic complexity to the sound, each one vibrating with its own unique frequency.
The drumhead, made from cave spider silk, produces a range of sounds from the softest, most delicate taps to booming, thunderous strikes that seem to shake the ground itself.
The overall effect would feel like the earth’s heartbeat, with the ability to summon ancient forces or calm the most tumultuous subterranean energies.

This is be-AUTIFUL. The music you're choosing with each image is so evocative; especially this one really puts me in mind of a bodhrán but with the massive sound of a taiko drum, but then it can ALSO be played like a pellet drum. Oh my god it's such a fabulous concept.
I have pretty mild sound->image synesthaesia, so I can definitely see the shapes you're painting as specific sounds. The diamonds are maybe when she's supporting the drum with her other hand and making the sharper beats that crack and split earth, and the rounder shapes are when she's hitting it for low, vibrating sounds, to raise mountains or rolling hills. Maybe those longer, wavy lines are when she caresses the drum 'skin' to dissolve rocks to sand and it blows away. That's my interpretation anyway! Haha. XD
I really love this series a lot; it's so imaginative and gets the creative gears going.

Wowee! She is pretty! I love the story of the drum and the music you chose for the video. My head was already thumped by a fusion belly dancer’s video. With the sound bar on, the drumming went right to a headache place, but the dancer was so perfectly feminine I was mesmerized. I bet your drummer’s music would be great for belly dancer. It would be sinuous, sensual, irresistible. The cover is the right place because the drummer sets the pace. Great job, Sophie! Luv ya! 💜💜💜 And as a ps, drums are often works of art.
