This is a quick, easy and delicious recipe for making the Ultimate Thin Crust Pizza 🍕 . This pizza recipe is great for beginners. Before ordering pizza try making this pizza recipe. You will be glad that you did! Do note that I used a cast-iron skillet. If you don't have that then use whatever baking tray or stone is available.

This recipe will help you make 4 thin crust pizzas that are really crunchy!

Making the dough

IMPORTANT: The ideal dough ratio is 1 cup water to 2 cups flour. The trick however is to add water in several stages. Add one third water at the beginning to the flour and try and consolidate everything in to a ball. Add another one third and try to smooth the whole ball at much as possible. The last one third has to be added half at a time. Add, knead thoroughly.

1 cup or 250ml Water
2 Cups or 270g Flour
1/2 or 3g Tsp Sugar
1/2 packer or 4g of Yeast
1/2 tsp or 3g Salt
1 TBSB or 10g Oil

Other ingredients for making each pizza
2-3 tbsp pizza sauce
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
2 tsp mild cheddar
some spinach
dash of oregano for seasoning the pizza

For making this crunchy thin crust pizza you need very basic ingredients.

Instructions
1. Start by making the yeast mixture by taking water and pouring in sugar and yeast.
2. Knead the pizza dough by hand or a mixer. Knead for 8-10 mins by hand or 5 minutes using the mixer.
3. After kneading, shape the dough into a round ball and add some oil. Cover with cling wrap and place in a warm place. Let it rise for 1 hour. After 1 hour your dough should have doubled in size.
4. Preheat oven to 400F or 200C and take a heavy cast-iron skillet and place it in the oven for good 15-30 minutes. We are going to bake this pizza in 2 stages for that ultimate crunch.
6. Use a rolling pin and stretch the dough as thin as you can. you should be able to see the shape of your hands.
7. Put the rolled dough in your cast-iron skillet and bake it for 4 minutes. Remove from oven while leaving your pizza in the skillet add in your sauce, topping, and cheese. Bake it for another 8 minutes or until cheese melts.

Correction at 5:24 - second time bake pizza for 8 minutes.
First bake - 4 mins dough only
Second bake - 8 mins with sauce cheese and toppings.

Tried this Pizza Today. I have to say the Pizza Dough is Crunchy. I used a 220mm cast iron pan with loops on both sides. I first prepped the Cast Iron Pan 6 cycles of seasoning. Works well. I separated it into 4 segments as he directed. Rolled it out really thin. The other Dough I put in the Fridge until next time. Well Done. Thank you.

This is now my new recipe for pizza crust. After years of searching for a thin crispy crust recipe I finally found it! My dough was too wet so I just added flour until it became the right consistency. I also put the skillet on the gas burner right before putting the dough on for the first bake to make it extra hot. This actually crisped up my pizza even more. My second pizza, I did not do this and it wasn’t as crispy. Thank you for this recipe!

I know that it has been 4 years since this was posted but I’m just seeing it. My crust came out prefect! I’m so thankful for all the tips and directions! And I made my own sauce which I let simmer while I made the crust. So good! No sloppy middle either as I put my fresh mozzarella on paper towel which soaked up the moisture.

Thank you. This looks like an excellent recipe for home. I use Italian 00 flour and make the sauce. If I have no sauce, we make "Pizza bianca"-- which is without tomatoes... onions, and burrata, for example... with a few capers and Parmigiano Reggiano. You can slice thin the onions and throw into hot water for a half a minute... Another is anchovies and black olives --no cheese... with a thin crust it is excellent.Buon appetito!

Very good and quicker than a lot of other recipes. I used cast iron and the bottom didn’t brown, so I placed the pizza on the rack for browning and it worked well. Will make again!

First time making a pizza ever and used this video - it turned out great, i made 3 pizza. instead of cutting it in 4 quarters I cut the dough in thirds so it's a little larger. I also used 500 degrees for heating it up as other videos showed this for crunchness and it turned out perfect. Just keep an eye out on your pizza so it doesnt overcook. I loaded my pizza up and so I needed to bake it longer than 4 minutes (video suggested 4 mins for the toppings), I used 10 mins - again it was loaded. Love the crunchiness and thin crust, regular dough pizza is just too bready for me.

I actually tried this and it really turned out thin and crispy. Technique on the rolling pin helped. My husband loved it.

Thanks. I'll give it a whirl. Currently, my best "cracker" crust recipe is achieved by using the pasta roller -- getting it way thinner than I can get with a rolling pin.
