The Israeli military says commandos have rescued a Bedouin Arab hostage who was kidnapped by Hamas during the 7 October attack on Israel.

Kaid Farhan Elkadi, 52, was rescued in a "complex operation" from an underground tunnel in Gaza by the Israel Defense Forces and Shin Bet domestic security service, according to a statement.

No further details could be published "due to considerations of the safety of our hostages, the security of our forces, and national security", it said.

Mr Elkadi - the eighth hostage rescued by Israeli forces since the start of the war in Gaza - is in a stable condition in hospital, where he is undergoing examinations.

IDF risked their lives to rescue a beduoin arab because he's an Israeli. Which part of that is racist, apartheid and colonialist?

He looks so happy to be free. Tired, but happy.
I don’t care if he’s Jewish or not, I am so glad he was rescued and safe❤
This shows Israel cares for ALL their citizens.
He deserves a long rest, and any mental trauma he suffered.

Great news! Sinwar has refused calls for a ceasefire. Hamas sympathisers keep nudging them to fight on, prolonging their war of attrition.
If your family is in Gaza and you truly love them you will call out the evil of Hamas and pressure them to give up the hostages and allow room for a ceasefire. However, since you have nothing to lose, you sit in your cosy room urging Hamas to resist unto death.
People who have family held hostage in Gaza pressure Netantahu. People who care less how many Palestinians die refuse to pressure Hamas. If both sides come under equal immense pressure, this war will end.

Till date the UN has failed to condemn the actions of Hamas on October 7th. How will the war end with this sort of hypocrisy?!

On October 7th, about 250 people, including 6 Bedouin Arab citizens, were kidnapped by Hamas and their supporters and taken to Gaza. 4 of them were from the Al-Ziadna family of Rahat: Aisha (17), Bilal (19), Hamza (22), and their father Yosef (53). Aisha and Bilal were released, but their brother and father remained in Gaza. Additionally, Fuad Al-Talalka (22), a resident of Hura, and Qaid Farhan Al-Qadi (53), who lives in an unrecognized settlement, were also kidnapped. Mohammed Al-Atrash, 40 years old from Segev, was added to the list of kidnap victims after being considered missing.

And not a word of this on Al Jazeera or Middle East Eye. Clearly it doesn’t fit the narrative

The problem is not Netanyahu. Israel has agreed to several proposed agreements. Hamas is the one refusing to release the hostages.

The BBC seems to have softened its approach in this report. The organisation could have shown the spokesman respect by calling him by his full title of "Rear Admiral" whici is nearly the highest rank in the navy.
