If someone wants to make alot of money come up with another wholesome show like this. I'm sick of trash on TV now.

The Waltons were my escape from my childhood reality, in a sense they were my family and I thank God that to this day I still feel the same way, I wish children from this day and age had the same kind of role models as we did back in the 70’s . Good night daddy

I watched this show as a little girl, now at 54 I record the shows to enjoy at night. I still LOVE The Walton’s! How I wish shows now had such feeling and messages behind them. TV is trashy these days

My question is do the ones that are still alive realize just how much this show meant to people. It was a safe haven, a place of love and peace that we could bring into our homes for a while. One of my favorites.

Ah man, makes me cry. I was born in 1972, and grew up watching Little House on the Prairie. It was mostly in daytime reruns in the early 80’s, about 4 p.m., after school. I loved the family dynamics. I saw The Waltons come on in reruns, too, but didn’t really get into it. I think most of the kids on the show seemed a bit too old to catch my attention. But the house, the farm yard, and the vibe of that show rang more true to me as I got a bit older. My grandparents were born in the early 1930’s, and they grew up in farm country, with similar houses, yards, and mannerisms that were well represented on The Waltons. Many of my best memories growing up were on that farm, surrounded by all the great aunts and uncles, and church-going lifestyle. I’m very nostalgic as time goes on, and I have come to absolutely adore this show, not only for its great writing and acting, but how much it feels like MY home and memories. Thank you for the video, and seeing how much love they had for each other even behind the scenes. I realize I’m heading into the middle of my life, with as much behind as ahead. Does anyone else miss the earlier times? I know to some viewers, growing up in the 70’s and 80’s doesn’t seem “earlier days”, but some days it overwhelms me to see how quickly time passes.

John Boy... i have loved you since the first time i watched your brilliant deliverance of lines. I was teased from my brothers when I'd watch this series. However, the same feelings are still there for your dedication and work. No matter which role. I believe you have been intertwined in the hearts of America. The chemistry was real. It's still real. I love you....as does America....
