My husband and I are in a similar situation: long distance for 3.5 years and after a long delay I’ll finally be joining him in the US after being 2678 miles apart with a 3 hour time difference while I finished residency in Canada! It has been a tough 3.5 years apart but it’s finally coming to an end in the new year inshallah! I am in the military & my wife lives in Canada. I have been deployed to a place where I can't keep her with me. We ve been married for 2 years now & this is the longest we ve been apart. My wife is alhamdolilah the best thing that could ever happen to me. I love her so much that even a second away from her seems like hell. Lately I ve been going through a phase where I act like an overgrown child. I am clingy & want her to be aval all the time. I feel so guiltyfor acting like a baby. But alhamdolilah that is only a small part of our relationship and we always manage to deal with it by keeping our lines of communication open.
