I think assuming Lucy is of royal descent is a bit of an overstatement, as not all high class families originate from the ruling class, as that is the highest seat among the aristocratic families, and the most I've been able to gleam from the few interactions I've caught her in denotes that she is from an affluent family, with the mannerisms we sometimes catch her falling into denotes that her family is at minimum a part of the aristocracy, as families without such history aren't as likely to hold such decorum.
