Hoyas have been my favorite plants way before they were "trendy". Got my first one roughly 30 years ago.

Tip for trellising your Hoya. You can trellis it down as long as it can face back up again. Also, make sure to trellis it loosely at the beginning of a new offshoot. If you wrap the new offshoot direction going down, it will dry up and fall off due to being too tight around the trellis and unable to grow upwards towards the light.

Hi. I enjoyed your video. You can drill a hole in your glass containers with a diamond bit and never worry about water level when filling. Drill hole at desired level. It would allow you to flush somewhat as well.😊

I put my almost totally green Hoya mathilde splash in bright light. It has grown like crazy and the leaves keep getting larger and some are almost totally silver. They are readily available, so you might as well try high and bright light if you want it to turn.

First, way to shout out the Canadian plant people. Love that. Love the collection. I find that Hoya is thirsty than I expected. I grow them in soil and have to water them weekly. Keep up the great work with the video!

I’m new to Hoya and I have a Hoya Mathilde in my cabinet and it’s been growing like crazy. I live in CT and it’s winter time here but like I said I keep it in my cabinet. It probably depends on a lot of different factors. Thanks for sharing all of your beautiful plants with all of us 🥰

I love your vibe and all the Hoyas! I watched while doing plant chores. My Sulawesiana just bloomed for the first time! I have it in pon in ambient under barrina t5 light. It was a stunning flower.

There are so many Hoyas to add! Corisea, Undulata, Caudata Sumatra, AH 071, microdwarf. Lacunosas are pretty good bloomers, sometimes they will blast blooms then they will try again. Check out your local Home Depot, they have some cute Hoyas under $6 like Hoya Carnosa Freckles, variegated Burtoniae, Hoya chouke and Carnosa Krimson Princess to name a few. I currently have close to 200 Hoyas in my collection. Some are full size plants, most are cuttings, and a lot of those are sizing up well.

Fellow Canadian here, too! 🍁 I have more than 150 different hoyas, probably can't pronounce some of the names and so what? We are all in this together. I will be checking out Crystal Star Nursery soon, but I'm waiting til spring because Purolator is taking a current order from another nursery on a grand tour of Nova Scotia. 🤬
Thing about hoyas is... I have several in bloom now, and more coming, and that's awesome, but I'm all about the leaves. Truly. Long may we grow these fabulous plants.

Hoyas don’t like to grow down. They grow up and out seeking support before the vine will grow leaves on that. So don’t wrap down always wrap in a full circle or wait until you have enough to keep the end up. Also flowering is a way for a Hoya under stress to spread its seed. So if your plants are unstressed they may not flower much. It’s tricky to get flowers. Almost under watering and putting the plant in fear mode gets flowers but that will also stop leaf growth.

You should look into New Guinea Ghost! She grows really quickly, she’s a beautiful mint color but sun stresses purple and I love the growth pattern of the leaves.
