ELON MUSK's SpaceX Crew-1 Dragon spacecraft has safely docked at the International Space Station.

"SpaceX, this is Resilience. Excellent job, right down the center," Mission Commander Michael Hopkins radioed to ground control after docking on the ISS. "SpaceX and NASA, congratulations. This is a new era of operational flight to the International Space Station from the Florida coast."

The four-person craft took off from Florida's Kennedy Space Center Sunday night, and has docked on the ISS after a 27-hour journey. SpaceX founder Musk could not attend liftoff due to a "moderate" case of the coronavirus.

The docking will be followed by a "welcome ceremony" at 1:40 AM Eastern on Tuesday, where all four astronauts will be able to exit their spacecraft since they took off.

The four astronauts consist of three from NASA: Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker, and one from Japan's space agency Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Soichi Noguchi.

Also on board the spacecraft was a small "Baby Yoda" plush toy, which helped serve as a "zero-g indicator" for the ride.

No social distancing in space, should have been an astronaut for physical contact in 2020

Where do they get the oxygen from? A sub is actually far more self sustaining than the space station - due to the nature of water availability. The ISS WILL run out of air (oxygen) if it's not periodically replenished, either as oxygen, or as water to make it from. As long as the reactor is running, a nuclear-powered submarine will NEVER run out of air, but that can not be said of the ISS.

Wow, the flat earthers and those that don't believe we've been to the moon (space) are out in force today. Must have had their habitat disturbed :D :D :D
