This so nice we've gotten to the point people are making well articulate videos about civ 7 and not videos of playtime footage trying to get the video out asap

Wow the saturation made me think it was Civ 6

As someone who plays on xbox that "no next action button" business couldn't have been true because it's the primary way to interact with the game

Using Merchants to build roads between towns. eg you 3rd town is often a dog-leg path from your capital, a merchant can build a direct road between the two, and enable specializations to get to the capital via a direct route - the roads also help your troops get around a little quicker

That kicking the citizen out of the unnecessary plots of land to get the major town focus bonus is brilliant dude

Two good tip noone talks about towns, feel free to test in your games:
a) unique improvemnts from city states / civ bonus (for example monolith from cultural cities, science pyramid from science city etc.)
Because towns grow quicker, do not specialise them too early. Instead grow as high as possible spamming farms. everywhere. Then buy those improvements over it.
For example culture buildings are rather late in tech tree in ancient era. What you can do however, is to befriend cultural barbs to get acces to monolith.
Even better is example is Aksum civ. They have special spammable improvment, that gives +1 for adjecency with each another and wonders and can be put over farms and woods. 6 tiles in a triangle with this improvement over it give 18 culture, a diamond of 9 farms give 30 culture. Then simply upgrade a town to a city and assign Silk :) or keep it as farming town.

(From this single reason I love Aksum. 9 pop town contributes early on 30+ culture :D and culture in ancient era is basically the best way to get +1 limit sentlements )

b) At the beginning of new age your main cities have probably some quarters. Because with era change you lost all adjecency and most of their bulding have to be overbuild to use adjecencies again. It is sometimes worthy NOT to keep them as cities as age changes. They will be cheap to upgrade anyway because of their size, but initially you can keep them as TOWNS and specialise towards +1sciense and culture from quarter, while building up a settlement, which was not a city in previous era. It would help with some early techs in each era and get to those new version of science/culture/entertainment building faster.
When you reach those techs, upgrade to city and use overbuild policies to regain adjecencies and specialists.

The amount of reviews that say “no next turn button” for me to find it within 5 seconds of opening options made me question video game reviewers entirely it’s sus they all had the same complaint

Absolutely flabbergasted that you’re not a big channel. The knowledge and presentation here is crazy, earned my subscription ezpz

You are killing it my dude. Criminal how few subscribers you have right now. The questions I am having as a long time player adjusting to this new game are all being answered here first. Keep it up.

Going for a militaristic victory, I was deliberately not building settlements as soon as I could, in fact I rarely built settlers at all.

Settled settlements vs conquered settlements count the same against the settlement limit, but conquered settlements in the right parameters for the age (any in Antiquity, distant lands in Exploration, different ideology in modern) can count more than settled settlements towards the militaristic legacy.

My best tip I learned on my own is to use merchants to reveal the map by using foreign roads during the exploration age. Free open borders, they don’t get attacked, and have decent movement. Was easier to manage than scouts

Oh my God, the Long setting for the ages is just what I needed

10/10 guides. This is my first Civ launch. I’m enjoying it but you highlight things I miss. Easy subscribe!

Small recommendation, if you're not settling, turning off the yields can make it a lot easier to spot enemies and see things on the map.
