This is what I was expecting to feel last year when PRX matched up against EG, but they failed. I'm glad their brothers from CN stepped up and won Champs this year <3 (mindfreak's reaction in his stream just says it all). I don't like TH, but I respect them as a team. It took EDG record-breaking feats to defeat them which just shows the caliber TH have. This was the greatest series of all time, and I hope next year can top it off. It was truly a map for the ages, and it definitely solidified Valorant as an esports giant. Good job Riot! Natty was the cherry on top :D

Such a great event. I watched the playoffs of each region before champs as well, and watching this champs was a delight. Seeing the storylines and the battles between the regions really made for great moments. Can't wait for Kickoff and Masters Bangkok.

Congratz to EDG. There is no other team in the world who is more worthy than them having ONLY lost to G2 in groups in the entire tournament and completely crushed basically everybody in the Winner's Bracket. They broke all kinds of records in the finals smashing Team Heretics in the process who was on an amazing run in the Loser's Bracket and tbh was very favored to win VCT Worlds from the western fans.





BUT there is a reason why EDG was on the Winner's side of the bracket after all and they have proven it. Team Heretics is one of those teams who greatly learns from the victorious opponents they face and most likely will win any rematch BUT you only got oneshot, one opportunity to win in the finals. And unluckily EDG is not an opponent they have faced before since what Masters Shanghai? And they 2-0ed EDG then IIRC so Team Heretics could not learn anything from EDG. I reckon Team Heretics will absolutely clap EDG the next time they meet, as they have done to G2 the second time they met in Shanghai BUT that will be a story for another time, in another year as for now, at this very moment EDG is on top of the WORLDS. So say hello to your new VCT Worlds champions! EDward Gaming!
