My college was the first time I actually used microphones through its radio and television programs. The TV side, which is what I was in, had Blue Yeti mics, so that was the first microphone experience I had. When I got one too I liked it until I found the AT2020 which I fell in love instantly. Eventually I got up to the AT4040 and fell in love instantly once again. I got the Shure SM7B almost a year ago, because everyone in the world was talking about how amazing it is, but switched back to the AT4040 again recently because this captures my voice a lot better, and is overall a better experience for me

The Audio Technica AT4050 and 4051 are among my favorite budget options, the 4040 is basically the fixed-cardioid version, and they all sound stellar!

I have one here and it is a real sleeper mic, way underestimated. I tend to use more my tlm103, but when I need to double some tracks and do some backing vocals, i use this one. I dont like to use only one mic and accentuate all the same frequencies in all my vocal tracks. I ditched my tlm 103 and telefunken ak47 on certain voices for this one

I have the AT2020 for some time now and it still sounds good looking at all the new boys in town and I got to say im looking at the AT4040 as I know what they can do with the voice plus I am so used to the AT series

I have the AT2020 and used it for years and I have never had any complaints. Yes you have to eq it but it has the necessaries to get it right. I have looked for other Mics but I think I will stick to At series.

How did u get it to have less sibilance I have a Aston halo a nice pop filter but I still get sibilance when I’m up on it a lil bit
