He knows that he has an audience of folks who think he sounds smart and will have a visceral reaction towards words like postmodern and Marxist. The intellectuals behind this critical social justice movement will say overtly that they're ideology is a fusion of postmodernism and neomarxism when their not being critisized. Just read an introduction to critical race theory by jean stephancic and Richard Delgado (both are founders of critical race theory).
