I’d like to see the evidence of Soviet “psychological warfare” in Italy & western Europe. As I understand it, the Left emerged robust from WWII in these places, largely because it was the Leftist militias who fought the fascists, even after their governments capitulated. It was the Red Army which turned the tide of the war, rendering Leftism even more appealing. Further, the USSR was devastated & half destroyed by the end of WWII. I have a hard time seeing how the Soviets would run psychological operations in Western Europe when all of its major cities & agricultural & industrial breadbaskets had been destroyed (starvation, refugees). Also, Stalin was a nationalist, not a globalist, who did not even intervene in Greece as the Left was brutalized & massacred there by British & US-backed fascists, so… ?
