Okay for everyone who’s confused. When they are in combat they each take turns making an attack. Matt lets whoever makes the attack to kill the last enemy describe how they want to attack and it is usually one of the players. When this happens he asks them “how do you want to do this?” In this case matt was the one to deal the killing blow as an npc. Therefore this video ensues

Almost perfect representation of Twitch chat at the beginning. One asks if it's a TPK, even when 2 seconds later they win the fight. One is SCREAMING, one asks for a break, even, again, they are 2 seconds away from an iconic moment.
