Can a period be too heavy to use menstrual cups? No! #shorts

I honestly didn't believe it when I heard you say this, but my first couple times using it was when I realized how true this statement is. I use a diva cup, model 1, and I've only ever filled it half way 😅

I’m 14 and my period is horrid. cramps that make me not be able to move, the amount of blood coming out is atrocious, I fill 3 Of the extra strength super tampons WITH a pad on every 2 hours


I also have endometriosis and ovarian cysts, so the bc I’m on rn is for cyst control but at the same time aggravates my endometriosis. Gynecologists say it’s 99% I have endo but nobody wants to do the laparoscopic procedure to remove those tissues. They want me to get the implant in my arm for 3 years then see where I’m at. I’ve been on 7 birth control since august last year and I’m so done with the “You dont understand” shit I get from doctors because I’m “too young” to understand the condition I have.

I haven't bled on my sheets since middle school (I'm 24 rn). My period is pretty heavy, but using a cup saves me much stress it's not even funny.

I don't know if it also happens to everyone else but when I used to use pads and tampons the last couple of days I'd have just slight flux, enough that I couldn't use just underwear, had to use a mini tampon or a thin pad. With the cup I literally eliminated those "leftover days" and went from what I thought was a 4-5 day period to a 3 day period. I think it's because the cup just colects everything inside it and it's not in contact with the vaginal canal anymore so when I take it out for the last time on the last day it just removes every last residue with it. Yup, never going back to tampons and pads!

If you still find your period too heavy for these then you have a medical issue like fibroids. Too many women just assume their periods are normal when they aren't. You also should not be in a lot of pain.

I keep having an issue with my cups multiple cups leaking so I’ve learned that IF your period is so heavy like mine discs work better in my case.

I just ordered a new disc, bc my flow is nightmarishly heavy (yes, I'm seeing a doctor about it). I'll overflow my saalt cup in an hour, but honestly, if it's empty a cup every hour, or go through 2 pads every hour, and still have leaks, I know what my choice is.

On my heavy days, I entirely fill a regular sized cup overnight in 6 to 8 hours. Usually my cup is past capacity when I wake in the morning so I wear period panty or pads for backup. This replaced the tampon and pad combo. Don't how anyone could think that a tampon would ever hold more than a cup or disc.

I actually have a very heavy flow and I still use my cup. On my first two days, I fill up my cup 3x a day, which is a lot, I know but I make sure to empty and clean them every 6 - 8 hours. Mine says on the packaging that I can leave them for up to 12 hours but I like to make sure they get cleaned more frequently.

That cup fills up all the way in 10-20 minutes for me. I'm so stressed, and I have horrible cramps. 😫

I’ve never tried a cup, honestly just cause the first time I used a tampon the string broke and I had to go to my gyno as an emergency to get it out and that can scare you badly! Especially if you’re prone to infections like I am. But seeing these videos I’m tempted to talk to my gyno about them.

i had to go on birth control cuz mine was so heavy i would almost pass out on the second day 😅
