Alan Hinkes from the U.K. *has* reached the top of Manaslu, as one of the people who have climbed all 14 x 8, 000m peaks. I know the guy slightly and have his book where he photographs and describes each peak. The true summit of Manaslu is deemed to belong to the gods by the local people and it is this that is used to discourage people from making the true summit - no Sherpa will guide a climber to the true summit. This was mentioned in Alan’s book, along with the fact that he did in fact quickly ascend it but didn’t leave any flag or artefact there, using the false summit where all the other offerings were. The book has his photographic evidence of each summit attained.

Mount Everest would’ve been on this list, but the insane amounts of exploration have made it so that practically anyone could climb Everest with a climbing group leader and enough supplies.

Not my idea of fun climbing them I would rather be firmly at sea level 😂👍🇬🇧

If there's a chance to fix the thumbnail before this gets too many views, that might be a good idea! Spelled 'Deadlist' in the thumb.

Thumbnail has "deadLIST" and "MounTIANs" instead of "deadliest" and "mountains"
