Whats the difference between accessing it it from Favorites>Google Drive and Locations>localhost>Google Drive? Why is localhost there, im not used to seeing that and idk if it should be there as Backup and Sync was not like that.

Hi, i copy and paste my files from my local storage to drive app, but it take space from my storage; did i have it with a wrong setup or this is the way it works?, i mean its like a sync have the files double local and in the cloud. I unistall the app and the files on the cloud stay and i get back the local storage it was 70gb.

ok so, i just want to use google drive an sort of an external drive/ cloud sttorage. So if i upload something to google drive it stay there right? it doesnt delete if i delete the copy on my computer? because on icloud if you delete something on phone it deletes in icloud too. and you lost both copies.

I'm having some issues. i like my desktop very clean, and having the icon or shortcut show up messes with my OCD :P it there a way to not have it there but still have google drive "open"? also, i want to be able to always have my google drive accessable, but right now every time i have to sign in every time and it makes me go onto a browser to sign in. are there any suggestions you have?

Great video, maybe you help to solve this problem. I am unable to upload any format videos larger than 50MGB. It gets stock 20-25% and goes back to ZERO, over and over again. I tried everything you can think of, including Google Page support. OS 10.13.6 this issue is on all my macs. Manually dragging to Google drive, no problem. It should be compatible with High Sierra, right? Thanks a lot...

Not sure if anyone else has encountered this problem, but i have downloaded Google Drive for desktop - a MacBook Air 2017, running High Sierra - and cannot open the app. I have checked the system preferences security to see if it was blocked there, but no such luck. Any suggestions?

Can you take a Doc file within the "My Drive" folder on MacOS -- and make an alias so you can have doc files within any folder structure on Mac?

I need to select my "Screenshots" folder as an example on Mac desktop -- and have my local files auto upload / sync to Drive. The workflow is ongoing screenshots daily on MacOS... but need access on the go. Don't want to use iCloud Drive or whatever its called (also which doesn't allow for individual folder sync to iCloud)
