Many of us were looking forward to the end of September, with the final part of the puzzle, block 2 of the Fenix V2 releasing, bringing with it the IAE engines, new airframe model and the new engine model, as well as a few other new bits an pieces. Sadly, this has now been delayed, but for good reasons - or is it? We'll let you decide...

Bad because they did not meet their release deadline.
Good because they want to make sure the releases is of high standard like we experienced from the Fenix team so far.

Fenix is such a good experience I am happy to wait until they are ready!

Was just wondering about this yesterday. As much as we always want updates, new planes etc as quick as possible, sometimes a job just takes however long it takes. And look at all the work this team is doing on a plane that we have already purchased and most are happy with it. So many of these teams are doing fantastic work for this amazing hobby

At least they know how to be transparent with their audience, and not pander to social speak the way BlueBird has done recently with their 757 project.

I love how Fenix takes the time to finalize instead of releasing Betas tagged as Release versions like some other companies.
This is how it should be!

Good decision, very nice that we will have external modeling also for the CFM and I can very well understand the reasoning for management reasons that will be to our favour

I would rather be patient and rewarded, than receive something broken on or ahead of schedule.

Not surprising. This seems to be the normal in MSFS development of anything really. I rather developers hold their product until it's of great quality. They just need to stop being too zealous with their release timeframe. Very rarely, in the MSFS world, is anything ever released within the timeframe developers provide.

Better to have a working update, than an update with bugs.
But it's a little bit disappointing that we have to wait longer for the Fenix update, Aerosoft A330, and the PMDG 777. They are all behind schedule.

guys remember the delay is not because the IAE isn't ready it's because they decided to implement the new engine model on the CFM and couple it into a single update. Aamir said himself they could release the IAE then CFM later but decided not to. I think that's completely fine and come October we'll get the update and the A321 is still on schedule for end of this year

5 out of the 6 a320s I’ve traveled on lately had sharklets. Remember them? We were supposed to get them as a free update.

Let's be patient. I wouldn't want block 2, generate unwanted bugs. That is why I will agree with the decision of the FENIX team.

Thanks for the info's and I appreciate you if you give me some information that maybe I'm missing:
What do you mean by "Cabin turned OFF"?
I was not aware of this possibility to improve the framerate.
Do you mean the passenger cabin ?
And how do you set ON/OFF?
Thank you

Not bad news at all. It's good news as we're getting a better plane.
