I think %90 is great for full charge. When i had my XR i would charge anywhere %85 to %95 and it lasted for a long time with battery capacity being over %90 after 2 years

When i set to 80% limit apple claims that it will occasionally charge up to 100% in that case should i chage till 100% or below 100 like 90 or, 95 ??

I was wanting this feature for years! I still have to set a timer everytime I charge my iPhone to unplug at 80%. I want it even on my iPhone 13 mini that I upgrade from iPhone 12 Pro Max

My iPhone battery got exceeded above 80%. Even if I have kept a setting to limit it on 80 could you please help me on this or at least give me a solution that how to tackle this. Is this an iPhone bug?

Apple writes on their Website as well as under the setting of this feature. LEARN MORE:
"With 80% Limit enabled, your iPhone will occasionally charge to 100 percent to maintain accurate battery state-of-charge estimates"

I‘ve tested it, with my 15 Pro Max myself. As You can see, it worked 6 times out of 10:

You have to cite some legitimate research for that claim about 20 to 80 percent recommendation for lithium ion batteries.

I just got my iPhone 15 a few days ago and as soon as I got home, I immediately turned on this feature I came from Samsung and this has been a part of Samsung smart charging for years. It’s cool to see Apple implement this because it has a huge impact on battery health. If you only charge to 80% your battery will stay in almost brand new condition. Also, iPhone will occasionally auto charge to 100%. Although I shouldn’t have to worry about this cause I have AppleCare plus and so they will change the battery anyway.
