I wouldn't call it a "feature" unless it provides what you want. If it delivers something subjective and pleasingly creative, it's a feature. If it provides something objective and accurate, it's a feature. However, giving a creative but incorrect answer to an objective question is an "unfortunate side effect." If I give a goofy answer to a serious question, I'm probably not seen as a comedian, just a jerk.
