Can the machine be programmed to punch holes aswell?

Do you have to zero the x and y axis to anything? You mentioned z but how do you set up x and y. I know there is a pre programmed offset available for each donek knife and in vectric gadgets you just type in your offset but what do you zero x and y to?

but the spindle is turned on or not, how does it move in this way it cuts only the leather or also other materials
