That's basically Somali tea, too. My mom has also taught me, and I am drinking a cup I made just like the one above. But instead of half and half, I like adding evaporated milk to my tea

Thank you, Sanjay. This reminds me of my years when I went to IPC (international peoples college) in Denmark. I used to make chai with two of my teachers/ friens, Somia and Sudhanshu. This was many years ago. I still make it often exactly the same way. And I tought my children to make it the Indian way. :)
