You Won't Believe What the Anbernic RG Cube Can Do!

Anbernic sent over their latest retro gaming handheld. This is the Anbernic RG Cube. It is an niche gaming handheld with a 1:1 aspect ratio display offering an interesting way to play some of your favorite retro games. The screen display is ideal for consoles like NES, Game Boy and Piko-8 but how does it fare with consoles like N64, PSP, Gamecube and PS2?

The RG Cube uses the same SoC as the Anbernic RG556, which means its got lots of power to play a wide variety of games.

I am so surprised that you did not tweak the settings to allow the PS2 to run at optimal frame rate. I have seen other videos where the PS2 is running at a smooth frame rate including the bully game

on gamecube/dolphin, you stretch to fit screen and put widescreen hacks, this fill the screen without making it look stretched.

How did you add your own games with an sd card. Did you just make rom folders put the games in the rom folders, then put it in your rg cube?

It's cool, but it's limiting with that aspect ratio, powerful enough to play some gamecube and ps2 but doesn't make use of the screen, and the games that can fully use the screen doesn't need all that power and has the analog stick at the top. Its a niche device which I'm sure it scratches the itches of some folks, also it's great for reviews and content!

Great review, I'm gonna pass on this though, already got too many handhelds as it is lol.
