Make sure that your file name is the same as the word after public class. In the example both the guys filename and the name after the public class command are: HelloWorld. I got this error when I had a different filename and entry after public class.

for windows 10-
Go to system variables--click -path then edit, C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-xyz(old)\bin , replace xyz with new version present in your system
